Upcoming Swap Dates and a feature in Metro magazine

Hello Swappers!

Mandy, A-K and I have been a bit absent on the blog these days – our lives have been incredibly busy! We didn’t post a re-cap for our August swap, and still haven’t posted a re-cap from September, oh dear. What can we say, sometimes unexpected things in life require significant attention and blogging needs to take the backburner.

No fear, though – we’ll be posting a re-cap of September shortly. In the meantime, read these great recaps from swappers Trinity and Megan. I wasn’t able to attend the swap, but I heard many wonderful things!

Without further ado, we want to share upcoming food swap dates for the remainder of the year. Mark your calendars and be sure to stay tuned to the blog, our Facebook page, and our Twitter account to find out when registration is available. Also, if you join our mailing list, you will also receive an e-mail when registration is open. The swaps fill up very quickly, so you need to act fast once registration opens!

Upcoming Swap Dates:

  • Sunday October 9, 2-4 pm
  • Saturday November 12, 2-4 pm
  • Sunday December 11, 2-4 pm
We will continue to have our swaps in the amazing Open Arms of Minnesota location for the rest of this year, and hope to continue our partnership with them in 2012. They have been incredibly gracious hosts, and we are incredibly thankful for their generosity! Stay tuned for the September recap and for registration info for the October 9 swap.
Okay, moving on! We love publicity. And here’s a peek at the latest bit!

A quick photo of the food swap spread from September's issue of Twin Cities Metro magazine.

Twin Cities Metro magazine writer Mecca Bos spun a great story about the MPLS Swappers in the September issue. The article captures the inspiration behind and the energy of the swaps, as well as a number of helpful “how-to” suggestions. And, it features a beautiful photo of my preserved goods! We were really excited about this article, and thanks to Metro for featuring us. Check it out online here or in print, on page 58 in the September issue.
Okay, happy cooking and see you in October!
