May 14 Food Swap is Sold Out!
Tickets for the May 14 food swap sold out in three days! We were amazed at your interest and enthusiasm. If you did not get a ticket, you may add your name to the waitlist – cancellations do happen, so please add your name to the list!
If anyone cancels, a ticket will be released and you will receive an email directing you how to claim your ticket. You must respond within 24 hours to claim; at that point, the ticket will be released to the next in line.
After reading your feedback and suggestions, assessing our space options, and discussing the issue ourselves, we decided that limited the number of participants is the best way to ensure a positive swapping experience for everyone involved. Bringing it to scale is something we hope to do by increasing the frequency of the swap rather than the number of participants per swap. Therefore, we are discussing the possibility of having swaps every month through summer. We will keep you updated with details on future swaps as soon as we can.
In the meantime, here’s a few links to some of the books I’ve been pouring over the last few weeks. I hope these interest and inspire you!
- The Hip Girl’s Guide to Homemaking, Kate Payne
- Charcuterie, Michael Ruhlman and Brian Polcyn
- The River Cottage Meat Book, Hugh Fernley Wittingstall
- Storey’s Guide to Raising Chickens, Gail Damerow
